The 42nd Annual Sports Charity Scotland Fundraising Dinner.
On Friday 7th February 2025 we will once again be hosting our legendary dinner at Prestonfield House Stables. This is two days before Scotland take on Six Nations Champions Ireland at Murrayfield.
You are cordially invited to take a table at this highly prestigious event and support Sports Charity Scotland in our mission to raise funds for highly deserving causes.
On the night you can expect an incredible four course dinner, acclaimed guest speakers from the world of sport, live entertainment and our famous fundraising charity auction and raffle. All for just ÂŁ125* per person.

The 41st Annual Sports Charity Scotland Fundraising Dinner
Was held at Prestonfield House Stables on Friday 23rd February 2024
Our prestigious pre-Calcutta Cup event proved to be a wonderful occasion with large amounts of money raised for our two partner charities The Lords’ Taverner’s Scotland and Tiny Changes.
The evening was once again hosted by the fabulous Eilidh Barbour, with world-renowned rugby referee Nigel Owens as our principal guest speaker. Additional contributions came from former rugby internationalists Megan Gaffney and Stuart McInally. Our magnificent auctioneer this year was the irrepressible Willie Hunter.

We held our delayed 2022 dinner on the 10th March 2023 at Prestonfield House.
A huge thanks to all our supporters for making our dinner, earlier this year, such a success. Your generosity enabled us to raise over £30,000 which has been distributed between Lords’ Taverners Scotland, SAMH, Teenage Cancer Trust and Riding for the Disabled Glasgow.
Our gratitude also goes to Eilidh Barbour who was such a marvellous host, Andy Nicol as our persuasive auctioneer and our fantastic team of speakers, Sir Ian McGeechan, Gordon Sherry and Sammi Kinghorn whose speech will live long in the memory of those present.

Scotland at a Major International Championship

The success of our first virtual event emboldened us and we held our second virtual event on Friday the 23rd of April at 7pm. In anticipation of Scotland men’s team participating for the first time in 23 years in the finals of a major international tournament we enjoyed the notable company of Shelley Kerr MBE, John Collins and Dave McPherson all under the control of our Chair for the evening, the eminent Dougie Donnelly.

We are delighted to be hosting our first ever virtual event at 7pm on Friday the 5th of February. How will the 2021 Six Nations pan out? Will the Lions tour go ahead and if so who will Warren Gatland have in his squad?
2020 Sportsman's Charity Dinner

Our 2020 dinner was held on the eve of this year’s Calcutta Cup match on the 7th of February. Â
Our partner charities for the evening were The Eve Appeal and the Tom Smith Testamonial Fund.
Our MC for the evening was the irrepressible John Inverdale who guided the dinner magnificently. Our opening speaker was the superb Ben Ryan, who recounted the extraordinary path that led to Fiji winning the Olympic gold in Rio for Sevens.Â
